O J. Simpson is at it again, his life - arrested in a suspected robbery in Las Vegas (I'm wondering if O. J. Simpson's Wikipedia page is updated already with the lurid, crazy details and his posting $125000 bail in connection with the armed robbery of sports memorabilia, much of which he owned. 

Judging from O.J. Simpson's past trial in 1995, which I well remember (who can forget it) and the media circus that ensued over the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman which had been called a "a great trash novel come to life," no one can deny the pull it had on the American public.  And now, O. J. is at it again.  Honestly, it sounds like more of a setup than anything else, based on what I'm hearing …and I had a 5 hour flight from New York with not much else to listen to.

Aside from the News Media having only 2 minutes of information to clutter the airwaves with people from his earlier 1995 case are coming out of the woodwork, including a few of his friends (the friends O. J. Simpson has left).  The cast of characters include: tom scotto,oj Simpson's girlfriend, oj simpson, marguerite l. whitley, marcia clark, Marsha clark, Yale Galanter who is O.J. Simpson's lawyer, Christie Prody who is O. J. Simpson's longtime girlfriend, O.J. Simpson's sister and brother-in-law … and the kitchen

I’m not sure what’s more sad, the media blitz around what appears to be serious charges against O.J. or the media’s obsession with repeating essentially two minutes of information, over and over again, for 24 hours, over the next few days.

BTW, a lot of people are spelling O.J. Simpson's name differently and I used BlogPulse to determine both the most popular spelling of O.J. Simpson's name and the public sentiment over what is happening now to O.J. Simpson. Houston Jack's assessment of the O.J. Simpson situation today gave me more information than I got on my 5 hour flight to San Francisco today looking at piped in cable news:

"..The OJ case has the potential to unravel, irrespective of the number of charges that have been amassed against him.

OJ's prior knowledge of the existence of the guns, and his intention to use armed force to recover his belongings must be shown. The fact that this case has the credible appearance of being a set up does not help the prosecution either, since it may undercut the prosecution's attempt to show such prior knowledge and intent on OJ's part."

By the news media focusing on O.J. Simpson’s arrest on 11 felony charges in Las Vegas…I’m wondering ….maybe the whole thing was planned …what when down in Las Vegas with O.J. was planned, like some docudrama.  What if the TV and Cable shows of the future are actual events that get played out as they happened….not reality TV, but reality itself….just spinning out of control … onto your receivers (whatever it’s a mobile device, cable or satellite) maybe you just take OJ Simpson, stick him in a room with 4 actors, get a heart attack to happen, and you’ve got the air waves for the next week or two … ugh!

I guess the media loves O.J.
