ScanAlert HackerSafe is Good and .. Yahoo! and PriceGrabber agree

You have to get HackerSafe if you want to get the most traffic you can get, and also convey to visitors that your site is safe to do business on.  In fact, just the other day I read an article in Internet Retailer where Yahoo Shopping adds trust marks as another comparison element where ScanAlert HackerSafe was used because it's good for business:

"...ScanAlert’s Hacker Safe trust mark has become one of the criteria on which shoppers can judge merchants in Yahoo Shopping’s comparison shopping listings. It’s the first time trust has become a factor in such listings, in addition to price and merchant reviews."

"..Our testing in the past two years has consistently shown that visitors react very positively to the Hacker Safe trust mark on our site,” says Jay Greenberg, e-commerce marketing manager, Franklin Electronic Publishers. “Now that we’re able to promote our certified security to consumers as they use shopping engines to find products, we’re looking forward to standing out more in the crowd, generating more shopping clicks, and delivering an even higher boost to our bottom line.”

In the case of PriceGrabber.com:

"...The PriceGrabber.com/ScanAlert agreement distributes the HACKER SAFE image through more than 300 co-branded partner websites that incorporate PriceGrabber.com’s CPC product listings. By marketing their security in a highly visible manner to ready-to-buy shoppers, the 11,000 retailers who use PriceGrabber.com will be able to stand out more, generating a much higher return from their CPC budgets."

There's something else the ScanAlert HackerSafe application does that most people don't know about - Quantcast.com seems to like it and, I believe, treats the visits that ScanAlert HackerSafe generates to each site as "Addicts" because the HackerSafe Application must visit and test each site multiple several times, probably more than once a day.

I bet if you look at each of the clients using HackerSafe using Quantcast, you'll find the majority have "Addict" traffic (look at the Audience Composition/Share of Visits pie charts on the left of the screen):

I'd say the majority that of sites that use ScanAlert HackerSafe appear to have visitors that come back more than 30 times a month to each site - and it's hard to say if those visits are partly HackerSafe or the ScanAlert HackerSafe application generates a more loyal visitor.

Anyway you cut it, if there's one thing you can do that won't cost you much but will bring you many more visitors, and even improve your site's PageRank (due to a link you get from ScanAlert's Customer Directory once you sign up) which helps your rankings ....and that ends up giving you more visitors who are also, guess what..more Loyal.

So I feel pretty safe in telling my readers that ScanAlert HackerSafe is one application every site that serious about security, ecommerce, engagement (you have to feel "safe" to engage with a site's content) should have.  It's not free, but as a service, you'll get a hundred times more back from having HackerSafe on your site than what you spend on it.
