It does not matter who did what, Juanita B,Weeks and her husband are being attacked by the devil and instead of everyone talking about it, we need to be interceding for them. It is clear to me that the devil is attacking marriages especially the marriages of gifted christians. As a child of God and an intercessor, I will be praying that this situation is resolved and the Weeks have the victory, in the name of Jesus. Min. J. Johnson

Finally someone one talking the real deal. The devil is a liar and they are in my prayers. I was waiting to hear someone say this all day. We in Christ know that for certain once you are a child of God you are subject to such attacks BUT we are Conquerers in Christ and guaranteed Victory in Jesus. Never before has it been more important for us to show a gentle, Christlike spirit to the world. A gentle spirit that stands in stark contrast to those who in the name of their faith fly airplanes into buildings full of people and kill innocent men, women and children. A gentle manner that will also stand in stark contrast to those people who in the name of Jesus hold picket signs outside the funerals that say "God Hates Gays."

The Apostle Paul was certainly no wimp when it came to standing up for his faith. He endured much pain, suffering and persecution for following Jesus. Once a mob stoned him and dumped him outside town, leaving him for dead. Paul came to and immediately headed back into town to again stand up for Jesus.

It is this same bold, courageous, fearless warrior for the gospel who tells us that our gentleness should be evident to all because the Lord's coming is near.

Jesus is coming. Be gentle. Be loving. In other words, be like Him.

I took prayed for the couple when I read what had happened - it overwhelmed my heart because I too know all too personally that the enemy is attacking marriages (especially Christian marriages). His aim is to discredit our God by discrediting us. I will be praying for them and other married couples as well.

God bless those who will also pray instead merely talk about what has happened.

I am very sad to hear this, much as I will be praying for her. I dont know what happened, but there is no excuse for a husband to beat your wife let alone a bishop.It is sad to get any examples in our day, so Ihave gone back to learn from God's men who lived in the 16, 17, 18,and 19 century.
The church worldwide started to suffer when the focus was changed to ourselves rather than Christ. We are all to blame.Warning signs might have being on the wall, but where are the fathers who will correct and guide.
They are disregarded and not appreciated as it should be.Oh Lord raise up those who will mentor preachers that when they are going astry they can shout!!! and not fear.

Give me a break...yes we should pray for them, but as for these people being true Christians? yeah right! people need to read their bible only then they'll learn to discern false teachers from the real bible teachers. Is this how a man of God should behave? What does the bible say about what we should expect from Christian leaders? Just questions for you to ponder.

Ministers (Bishops, pastors, evangelist, teachers, etc.) are not infallible, they are subject to error just like anyone else - that's why God has left open the door of repentance - God forgives and forgets, let us of the faith do the same as our Father God. Pray his will in the Thomas & Juanita lives. The adversary is out to destroy whoever he can, let us be on our guard watch. “If a brother is overtaken in fault, ye which are spiritual, restore him”

If we who are prophetic we hear the loud cry and go into prayer/fasting.....the devil has tried to shout the mouth of a prophetess,for whatever the reason..this is a blow to the kingdom.My prayers are with them both , and we as children of GOD must protect the kingdom at ALL COST.SO LET US CONT' TO LIFTED UP THE PRAYERS OF ALL THE CHILDREN OF GOD,LESS WE OURSELVES FALL SHORT.

They are not being attacked by the DEVIL! This is a case of humans who have been elevated and cannot cope with the pressure. This is EXACTLY why God sent his Son, and left his Word for us! The Christian church too many times makes excuses for the failings of the "telecelebrity", exactly like the World does for the likes of Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton! We were intended to find Christ, not a man (or woman) in the pulpit! Find Christ, do not make Christ out of a man or woman.

Please, just pray for these folks. Satan in on the 'warpath", and that includes the "church". Thats is why, we must keep our faith anchored in the "cross', Forget about "self " or "flesh". because ,once that replaces the "cross' , one is in big trouble. Its an open invitation for Satan to step in. Look to the 'cross" and keeping doing so , daily, if you are to survive.

to the woman and man of God I have faith in the both of you all. We must remember that we as christians are not Perfect nor are we God , as long as we are in this body we will make mistakes. but the word of the Lord says if we confess or sins he is faithful and just to give us of them. let the Lord be the Judge. the word of God says Judge Not for with the same measures you shall be Judge. There is only one Judge and that is God the father through his son Jesus Christ. Who died and rose and again a man who never sin but died for our sins. Jesus love the both of you stay encourage the Devil is a liar and not only that he is a deceiver. the lord's will must be done.

The body of Christ should be praying and interceding for both of them. Who in there marriage have not had situations that you would want posted all over the news. Maybe not to this extreme but we all have had embarrassing moments when we have not acted Godly. In the heat of an argrument, misunderstandings, words uttered, that should not have even been thought, let along said out loud to the one person that you adore; anything can happen, because then God is out, then the flesh is in. My heart and compassion goes out for this couple, who I know are devastated and embarrassed. Let's not throw stones at people who are already stoned by the working of their own hands. Let's not gossip, let's pray and show the world that is looking on and judging us by the way that we treat our own and practice what we preach. I love you Bishop and Porphetess Bynum and God loves you best.

Man of God? Yeah right!!!!!

i would like to know why they were out at 4am because that's when most dangerous things happen. i don't promote battering your mate.

Yes, as Christians we know that this was a violent act from Satan himself, however he worked through Minister Weeks in attempting to destroy Juanita and the marriage. Minister weeks should suffer the consequences of his actions. He broke the law of the land so he should be addessed. So what really happened is that Satan has felled again and the vision of Juanita continues. I pray that the Good of Peace will heal and bless her the more. I also pray for Minister Weeks because this one bad act has changed his life forever, but perhaps will be a life saving story to help other married couples. In Jesus name Amen.

As you look at this and began to criticize what and who is and is not of God make sure that you have looked at your own life and that you are perfect. We are all flawed in some way or another, but because of the grace and mercy of God he has not allowed our flaws to become public knowledge. Anytime God airs our dirty laundry before the public He in all of his infinite wisdom has already tried to get our attention about it long before. It's God business to help them to get it right, it's our business to pray that the will of God be done. God is to wise to ever make a mistake. Isaiah 55:8 states it best when it says that "our thoughts our not his thoughts neither are our ways His ways."

Yes, this is a really bad if you are only seeing the negative impact of it. However, we the people of God have prayed and asked God to reveal the problem in the church. God’s perfect timing did reveal. Yes, it was to Juanita’s hurt; Nonetheless, this devil had to be revealed. She was sent out just like Jesus. To be persecuted and afflicted. His cruxifiction drew many, so this this situation. This situation has drawn the attention of the world. Look, the anointing that she carries will sustain her and restore what have been damaged. Many women and men wanted to walk in her shoes ( have her calling ) ” I wonder do they really want the calling now”? Her ministry is not a game. She is faced with all kinds of devils; This is exactly what she has been teaching and preaching about to us. She has always said that the anointing comes at a cost. If she had of stayed in that hotel, the whole event may have never happended. But because of God’s permissive will- she was drawn out of the hotel and into the parking lot. Now Satan who figures or at least thinks that this will be to her demise, he was revealed openly. God made a perfect show & spectacle of him. Because he was bringing hurt to the innocent. I said Satan; not Bishop Weeks. Bishop weeks had no control. If he had control, he wouldn't have done it. It may seem like it’s a shame that it because it was her husband, but who said that Satan was a respector of persons. Open ya’lls eyes people of God. God is real! so is the Devil. He will use any willing vessel. However, this is not the end of the story..See the Lord still gets the glory… Because somebody is going to be helped. Yes! even after she had to be beaten!!! It’s a part of her ministry.. She is an intercessor! She is a shephard! She is a leader. Leaders go out first to test the land. They are the ones who face giants and bring back the report. Bishop Weeks can now get the help that he needs; See God is wise! My God is so wise!!! He knows how to get the attention of his people. Is that sad to say that God will do something like this. God didn't do it, but he allowed it. The adversary is to blame. Bishop Weeks can benefit from admitting and confronting and repentance. Now, God's great work goes into effect. How many of us have yeilded ourselves for the devil use; whether knowingly and unknowingly?.... We are living the book of Revelation! … False teachers, preachers, are roaming the earth. And we know that the gifts that they have are without repentance! Because it is still used for the drawing of the saints, the saved and the lost. The bible says that even the very elect will be fooled!!!!

Come on people of God, lets see this for what it is.. God’s revealing revelation!!!!!! She may or may not internalize this; regardless if she do or not. She knows that God's doing something. I know Juanita is on her knees at this very moment..Hey, she still have the victory… The victory was at the cross before the event took place over 2000 years ago… Let’s get spiritually minded!!!!! I’m not moved by the Devil, he will not still Juanita’s joy. Nor can he have the soul of Bishop Weeks!!!! Grow up and lets get serious about God. Let's all think with understanding. For those of you who know that you have been a victim or for those who are committing these violent offenses. Step away NOW! Move into your protective place. Now that God is on the throne. It's time for a real church; not a building!!!

I saw the report, and I don't believe it all the Bishop fault, because Juanita Bynum followed him out of the hotel to his car. I believe she were trying to get him to the point of anger and to do something out of character. This woman has been damage by pass relationship with other men and will not submit to any man. Do you remember her having problems with Bishop TD Jake. I do not condone hitting a woman, but this woman is trouble and every man needs to stay away from her for a relationship. That is my view!!

If king David were living today, I wonder what the response of the public would have been once it had been reported on CNN that he had committed adultery with another man's wife, impregnated her, and then had her husband killed. I believe that he too would be judged harshly and definitely not looked upon as a man of God. Yes, none of us should condone or justify what Bishop Week's did no matter what may have provoked him. Sin is not to be justified but forgiven by God who justifies us by faith. However, just as God knew the heart of David and responded to his transgressions in accordance to his divine will upon his confession and repentance (Psalms 51), so He often times deals with our transgressions as the children of God in like manner. God forgave king David, but much sorrow was to follow his actions. Who knows what "new audience" of women Juanita Bynum will now be able to minister too upon hearing of this national news event. Let's keep them both in prayer, for if they both truly love God, despite any and all failures that were made, God in his abounding mercy can forgive and God in His infinite wisdom can work out for good.

The church I attend is currently on a corporate fast and just last night at prayer before I even knew anything of P.Juanita's Situation I heard my pastor Lifting her and her husband up on prayer and Praying for Paula White and her husband, . . .And i had not a clue that such a thing had happened.

And We real people of god, us real Prayer warriors, we need to intercede for them, . . .Because this is not an attack against her and her only this is an attack against the church corporatly. We are all 1 body and when one hurts we all hurt. Think about it The enemy did not come against her because he just wanted to pick on her He knows his time is short and He wants as many to fall with him as possible and he knows that if I get a Minister on a local level to fall that will be horrible and yes others may fall behind them but when a minister with P.Juanita bynum's status fall, look at the thousands of souls that could possibly be scattered behind it, man this is an attack against the kingdom of god.

Do you all recall not to long ago How Juanita had begun speaking of her desires to Leave the church to pursue a career in acting and things of the sort. Even though I am not clear as to whether she was saying she wanted to leave god all together or if she was only saying she wanted to refrain from the lifestyle of being a minister to only be a average christian follower so that she can again pursue Acting, . . .Who knows how she meant it, . . .But regardless of how she meant it that's not a good thing esecially if she is called to ministry. I am also aware of the fact that the reason she mention she wanted to do such a thing is because she feels that the church is holding her back finacially and should be a multi-millionaire by now when I assume she is not at the moment. So, we need to pray that god delivers her from this spirit that is try'n to keep her greedy for financial gain, she was found in a similar situation when her and Bishop Jakes had their differences it was because she had issues concerning what her financial gain was and thinking she was not getting what she deserved. . .People these worldly riches are not worth it. They are but dung, . . .
Pray for her that god will allow her to be content.

Well I have said enough though the thought are still flowing and I could go on and on . . .I am going to stop cause I am sure now there are those same carnal minded "FOLKS" who are saying man now she try'n to preach, but nah I am just telling it like it I.S. is, And whether people accept it or not the truth is the truth, your not agree'n won't change it.

Christian's Get on your Game!

I agree with you, I want to hear his side of the story. I believe we have a tendency to look at christian leaders and think they never have problems. That somehow God touches them and their marriages become free of all arguments, disagreement and drama. God is not a respector of persons and this should give hope to people who are having problems in their marriages that they are not alone.

Domestic Violence is a very real issue in the World today. I believe that these two strong people of God can come out on top and let the world know that THERE IS A GOD! Fellow Christians. Take a Stand and SPEAK THE WORD! Where is your faith? May both of them be covered by the Blood of the Lamb of God, Jesus, slain before the foundation of the world. Cuz hell was not meant for any of us but for the demons who rebelled against the most high God. Oh yeah, Satan is a liar and Jesus is the Messiah!

This situation is sad for a lot of reasons. Both of these people have been elevated in a way that is not Godly. He is wrong, of course, for his actions no matter what caused him to do it. BUT, as a "woman of God" she is also wrong for pressing charges against him. She is actually handling this the way the world would. Surely she knows the scripture, being a prophetess and all, that tells Christians not to drag their brother before the magistrate. Both of these people need to really examine themselves, as we all do, before the Lord.

I'm sadden today because I love Juanita Bynum's ministry and admired her for being able to pull herself up after experiencing so much hurt in life. However, She nor her husband are not God...they are made by God and called by God. You get in trouble when you make people a God! If we can only KNOW that these big time Evangelist and Preachers are HUMAN individuals that will make mistakes. And until God comes back to bring us home, here on earth we will continue to make mistakes.

Now after saying that...I do believe as Christians and Evangelist...we ought to be examples to the world. It is getting harder and harder for NON-Christians to believe in Christ. If situations as of this one and many more like this continues to happen...the devil will get the glory and not the Lord. We have got to learn how to not only pray together, but talk to each other. Fighting and hitting is not the answer and never will be. That applies to everybody...not just the rich and famous. We must learn how to pray about our situation (s) seek counceling if needed, and communicate.

It is imparitive to know God for yourself...because as it stands today...there are not too many Preachers or Evangelist to look up to. Just Look up to God...you won't go wrong there. I pray that God who can do the impossible will turn this situation around for the good, and make the devil look like the devil.

Well after reading all this and that,I agree with some and beg to differ with others. Please understand that these two are one in God's eyesight and while everyone is blessing Juanita and praying for Juanita, understand you are praying for him as well. When they got married they were considered one. God's thoughts are not our thoughts nor his ways our ways. So please while you are interceding for Juanita, there must be intercession for the man as well and what God does for Juanita he will do for her husband. People want to capitalize his sin but what about the verbal abuse that was probably going on. He could have been verbally abused by her and he just got tired of it. Noone knows all the story and we will never know so stop going off heresy and pray.No abuse is right and in the eyesight of God, he looks at all sin as sin. Remember when Sarah laughed at the Lord God went to abraham, so understand the order of God and pray for Both Bishop Weeks and Juanita. Yes what he done was wrong. Both of them were wrong because when he left the hotel, she should have let him leave especially if both of them were already irate. God is faithful and he does give ways of escape. Sometimes,just sometimes we want to prove a point. Ok point has been proven let's get up and move on. Preachers are no different from the laity, they have to go through the cross just like everybody else. It's just their responsiblity is greater. So stop pounding on Thomas and Juanita, get down on your face as she proclaims and pray for the man and the woman. They are still who God said they are and they still can have what God said they can have and they shall live and not die and declare the works of the Lord. Father, we pray now for the full restoration and comfort for both Thomas and Juanita Weeks III. We thank you for their life and appreciate the gift to the body of Christ in the persons of Bishop Thomas and Juanita Weeks III, and may many be blessed by the rest of their life TOGETHER, in Jesus name we pray amen! One simple word for the body of Christ, and the non-believers- Forgiveness. You are not God to say they are not of God because whom he predestined, he called and whom he called he justified and whom he justified, he glorified. As far as God is concerned, this is just a glory producer. Thomas and Juanita, hold your head up, square your shoulders, walk like you know that God has already glorified you both. And remember just as you both tell the nations---"Get down!" and God will raise you both back up! As for the haters and the non participaters, let your words be few because you never know when this may happen to you.

A watchman on the wall!

I am a 17 years old and a young Christian, i must say that it was shocking news to hear yesterday afternoon by a classmate of mine that Juanita Bynum (my girl) had suffered from this attack. I have to admitt that my first reaction was: what in the world is wrong with this man! he must be out of his mind... but after reading a few of these comments i understand now that the devils only goal is to destroy as many people in this christian journey as possible. It is sad to know that we must endure these battles, but Yolanda said it best the battle is not ours to endure its the lords. And people if we only listen to these words we can come out on top conquering any situation that may come OUR WAY!

Jesus loves us all reguardless of what mistakes we make ... at the end of the day let us all pray for prosperity in Gods Kingdom AND THE DOWN FALL OF THE DEVILS KINGDOM.

A young CHIld Of The Most High!

I believe that the Bynum/Weeks attack incident will be the catalyst for other women in ministry to finally face the pervasive misogynistic violence that is very much present within their own lives and the life of the Christian church. Even though I am not a faithful supporter of Bynum's ministry, I don't believe any woman deserves the brutal treatment of physical, emotional or psychological violence.

The brutality described in the attack leaves me to question how frequently this went on in her life. Pastoral and ministerial violence is as old as marriage it's self and there needs to be more attention drawn to dealing and facing these problems without hiding behind the Bible but instead holding married couples accountable for their actions.

While many preachers and pastors are preaching empowering messages exclusive to their own experiences, spouses, mainly women, are silently suffering from violence and private pains that has included them in the statistical equation of assault and battery, HIV/AIDS infection, emotional breakdowns and various other issues systemic of misogynistic violence. I pray that Bynum is real with her self and faces her issues without using the façade of a minister as a scapegoat to avoid the evils that have happened to her but instead confront the demons that lead to this assault so that healing can begin. She most definitely should pursue pressing charges to show men that positions and the good ole' boy system used to acquit men of Week's caliber will not supersede the justice demanded for respect of women. Pray for them yes, but the church needs to stop puttiong the total blame on the devil and start dealing holding each other accountable.

A man beats his wife. In a public parking lot. And not just any "ordinary" man. A man who claims to be a Christian and "of god" and, therefore, better than the rest of us. Beats his wife. Or beat anyone.

And some stupid people here don't put the responsibility for his actions squarely on him? But blame the devil?

Hi, I have heard Ms. Bynum preached before when she came to the Bahamas for Revival is here. I sadden by this cruel act that her estranged husband did to her. But God is forgiving...but at the same time he is a God of vengence. Mr. Weeks needs to go back to the altar and just cry out for his sins. Demons are real so we must be careful and always have a spirit of discernment.

Christians are always blaming their short comings on Satan instead of taking responsibility for wrong doings. Thomas Weeks beat his wife and he should be punished. We have to pray one for another. We all fail at times. The bible tells us to pray at all time, pray without ceasing, that should tell us something.
Believe it or not Jesus is soon to come, you can feel it in the air. So many things are going on, you will be crazy not to pray. Pray that God keep you safe, from Hurt Harm and Danger.

Any abuse is wrong in the sight of God, whether physical or mentally, and we all have exprienced some kind of abuse. The word of God also tells us not to judge, or you will be judged in the same like manner. I am praying for the both of them; that God heal them both. We may fall, but we are not utterly cast down. Well, I know no one is perfect, but why would a man beat his wife at all. Whether or not you are a christian, it is wrong for a man to beat his wife. It is so wrong. It is so important for Christians to let their light shine so the world will know that God lives in His believers. Any person can claim to know Christ, but the actions of a person show what is truly in his/her heart. At the same time, we all make mistakes, and we are not to stand in judgement of others. My plea is to Mr Weeks. If you are not a true believer than you should not stand before others and try to lead them. You should take a lower place in the church and work out your salvation. If you are in a struggle, then pray for forgiveness and confess your sins openly. It is wrong to carry sin to the congregation of believers. We need leaders who are true followers of Christ.

It is time for us as Christians to face the truth, which is, these two people are unequally yoked. I've read every other comment except that one. When they were televising the wedding all over cable, I prayed for both their sakes it was real, genuine, lasting, Godly love. You see, we all talk about how the devil operates. What we are not saying is how God operates. God has given us a recipe for love. Corinthinans talks about the type of love God expects of husbands and wives.

Corinthians also talks about taking your "brother" to court. The question here is, Is Bishop Weeks Prophetess Bynum's "brother"? Many times we in the Christian world want to believe that everybody who says they are a brother, a bishop, a minister, an elder, a deacon is just that. The question is, Are we not also called as Chrisitians to let the Holy Spirit guide us as to whether this is so or not?

The requirements of God for a person calling themselves a "bishop" is resident in the Bible. Fellow Christians, read your Bibles. Use your concordance and learn what those requirements are. Does Bishop Weeks meet those requirements?

The same is true for Prophetess Bynum. Before we go assigning ourselves these titles, you'd better lay out before God and let Him fill you. Other ministers, the media, or even followers cannot confer on us what will be needed to stand before God--only God can do that.

I feel for both of these people. Yes, certainly, skeptics and the world are watching, but they are watching us, too. They are watching to see how we react. We cannot continue to defile God's Word by reading only limited portions when we like the people involved or it hits too close to home.

I have been in the church all my life and have been saved since I was seven years old. I have known many women who were abused who just kept it to themselves. One such woman was married to the pastor's son. He beat that woman over and over again. Do you know what happened? She died of a brain aneurysm from one of his vicious attacks. He was not her "brother," and should have gone to jail for what he did. Instead, after he death, he married the daughter of a friend of my mother's and beat her, too. Sin that is not dealt with turn into deep-seated iniquity.

There is no excuse for what Bishop Weeks did. Yes, he is to be forgiven by God. Yes, he is to be forgiven and held up in prayer by us. That does not, however, mean we are supposed to turn a blind eye and talk about what satan did.

How many of you really believe the New Testament? My Bible says satan is a defeated foe. My Bible says that Jesus conquered death, the grave, and satan. Consequently, satan's only power is the power we give him by giving place to him in our lives.

Let's face it, somehow these two open the door to satan, and he walked right on in. As for Juanita Bynum, my heart goes out to her--not because she is a prophetess but because this is a continuing saga in her life of abuse. Underneath it all, we all want to be loved. I do pray for her. Mostly, I pray that more than her being able to come back with a vibrant sermon for the masses, that she will find the true meaning of love, loving God and loving herself. I pray that she will let God heal what no man can heal, what no woman can heal, what no applause can heal, what no amount of money or fame can heal.

As for Bishop Weeks, he needs to acknowledge what he has done and stop saying he loves (euphemistic for lust) his wife. He needs to saturate himself with the Word. Tune us out, tune out family, tune out friends, and focus his eyes on God. He needs, go ahead and scream online, to get saved. Because when he does, that old, angry man inside will die. He will truly be born again. Whether he is ever invited onto another TV screen or preaches in the backwoods, he will know that he knows that when this life is over, he will see God.

May God richly bless all of you who, I'm sure, will disagree with me. However, they were unequally yoked. Just because they were both ministers did not make them equally yoked. They were not each other's other half, because if they had been, folks, this wouldn't have happened. Good people, bad choices.

Let us pray for both of them that God will work it out. And can we remember when we are typing that God is spelled with a capital "G". Man some of you possess such hostility but lack proper grammar.

I find it strange that in the middle of this confusion, Paula White and her husband's announcement regarding their divorce hits the news. I just want to know one thing, why does the modern day preacher have to take on the celebrity lifestyle just because they have MOOOOOOOOONEY. Talking about Papparazzi's following you and all this stuff what door have these people opened to the enemy for this type of confusion. It's like if I have a lying spirit behind closed doors sooner or later that's going to catch up with me because I've LEARNED to lie for convenience sake. Then what as soon as the lie comes out public then it's the devil. How about you opened the door for the devil to come in and overttake you, your family, and the ministry God entrusted you with hostage. How about owning up to the part you played in getting played?

Oh Lord we seek your intervention in this situation. This is very sad to hear that these two wonderful people are facing trouble in their mariage. Bishop Weeks Book "Teach me how to Love You" with a foreword by Juanita was very inspirational to me and I believe to all those who read it. I pray that the good Lord who knows and never fails heals this marriage and restore them with his Love. The devil is a liar and a defeated foe. Both of you take heart. God cares and he Loves know matter what.

God wins! Read Genesis to Revelation to find out. If Mr. Weeks turned himself in, he must have realized that he did do something wrong against God (Ps. 51) and himself since he and Juanita are one. If Juanita had any part in it, she's just as guilty. We need to get our noses out of the negative and pray and live out the positive. Pay more attention to the people who need to hear the gospel instead of those trying to make a quick buck in the media. If Peter, Paul, Mary (no pun intended), John, the saints, and all other apostles had problems, what makes anyone think that they're exempt? The Bible was inspired to 1) show God's glory, 2) to show His glory 3) to show His glory, and 4) to show how humans (yes you and I) have screwed up the world and need 5) God to redeem them through Jesus to 6) show His glory. Get the picture? God will use this situation (not that I condone it-but who am I to unjustly judge? (Matt 5) as an example of how he can redeem even in the midst of trouble. Remember Moses and the Rock?, Peter and the Gentiles, we and all of the sins we've committed? Pray for healing and peace. It's called grace (what you don't deserve-salvation), mercy from what you do deserve (judgment), and compassion (Jesus forgiving us in wrath and love). Learn to mimick Him to the fullest!! If you aren't a Christian reading this...this applies to you too.

I liked what anonymous on Aug.24 4:21pm said about "Sin that is not dealt with turns into deep-seated iniquity." there is wisdom in that, and backed up, I believe, by the fact that God always said or expressed that sin must come out into the Light in order for us to be cleansed and the sin removed. It is a theme, again & again, from Adam to this day. Even now, much goes on in churches, and those who know the truth, and in place of leadership to do something about it, do not do as Jesus & Apostle Paul said to do. When it can't be reconciled between the offenders, godly counselors are called, and if they don't stop sinning -- then it's to be told to the whole church--but who does that nowadays? Not saying Juanita & Bishop Weeks were 'sinning' -- just saying that when things are not dealt with like the Lord said to do, then things just get worse & worse and many more suffer.
My comments may seem out of sync with what everyone else has posted, but that's because I don't have anything new/different to say --everyone has pretty much already said it. I'm very surprised at this incident, but am taking a wait & see attitude, before jumping to too many conclusions.
We are ALL told to forgive, and restore one another, and not to think of ourselves too highly, lest we stumble & fall. Apostles, prophets, teachers, evanglists and pastors were not suppose to be TITLES, but POSTIONS in the body, for the good of Body of Christ. It's not suppose to make them a 'somebody' -- it's just suppose to let us know what their work/calling is. therefore, stumbling can happen to anyone -- "there but for the grace of God -- go I". So, we (and they), need God's grace & strength to "NOT do the things I do(which are wrong) --Romans 7:19-25

While by no means am I saying Bishop Week's actions should be excused, I DO remember Juanita preaching a sermon a few months after their "royal" wedding. During this sermon she said she threw a brick into the back of his car out of rage. She also said that when they were trying to reconcile the marriage back then which was about 5 years ago, her mother and his parents acted as mediators. According to Juanita (during the sermon) she was acting a fool and had to be told several times by her mother to "Shut up NITA!"

Juanita is a powerful woman but she has a BIG ego that has gotten her into alot of trouble. When she broke out with "NO MORE SHEETs" she sued T.D. Jakes because he did not give her the money she thought she deserved. This was a terrible event for Bishop Jakes but he kept his head up! After several years past, Juanita was at the Women's Conference in Houston hosted by Bishop Jakes and she apologized and asked for forgiveness. This was done on her knees as she wiped the feet of Bishop Jakes saying "forgive me daddy."

There seems to be a formula... Juanita + Bishop= Court Case

GOD has used her in a mighty way and I pray that He continues but she sent the pictures to the Fox News in Atlanta. WHAT KIND OF MESS IS THAT? It seems like she was trying to ruin this man and that is not the way this should have been handled. It is a bad witness to the kingdom.

Again, I am not excusing Bishop Week's actions nor am I taking up for him. To tell the truth I don't really like the man (not that I know him) but truth is truth. If we are to hear about what he did, PLEASE SOMEONE tell us about her. She is NOT completely innocent and I pray that she comes forth and tells the truth about this mess. That is after Bishop Week's is locked up or something.... I would hate to read about him busting a cap in her butt!

The next hearing for Weeks will be September 7 in Fulton County Superior Court.

Weeks, speaking through one of his lawyers said he would attempt to reconcile with his wife and continue his ministry after the allegations were taken care of.

"He is extremely sad over the events that have taken place," said Edward Garland, one of the two attorneys representing Weeks. "I think there is hope on his part that the relationship can get past these difficult moments.

"He has never had any accusation of any sort like this from her or anyone else. There are a lot of circumstances surrounding these events that will be explained at a later time. He is turning it over to the court system at this point."

To God Be all the Glory! We need to all stop passing judgement and mind our business. The bible say if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and "pray" (not GOSSIP)...!!! They are one now; the two shall be one flesh, and so they are regardless for better or worst. Whatever they (Bishop Weeks and Dr. Bynum) decide to do it will be between them and the Lord. I really don't know what to say. I needed time to myself the other night(before I heard about the beating)and I shut myself up in my bedroom just to listen to Juanita's sermon on "Teach me how to love you". I am apalled by what happened. How can they teach others when they don't know how? She put him on a pedestal and put unmarried women down. All I know is that God is not pleased at all. I know things happen sometimes but they are "Prophetess and Prophet". So who wants to hear a "Word from the Lord" from them now? Some will still respect them but then I think they will lose the respect of a lot too. This could cause many to miss out on coming into salvation. Some may think if the "CHURCH" can't get it together, then who can? They represent God
(or do they)? God is pulling the covers off everyone and everything that say they belong to HIM. However, I will still be in prayer concerning this case.

When we began to judge one another we must be very careful because we will be judged. What Bishop Weeks did was wrong but I'm sure that if he is the man of God as we know him.... things will work out for their good.
Take 3 minutes and look back on your own life and recall some of the wrong things that you have done in the last year, in the last month, in the last week...just this morning. Was anyone looking at you? Did you get caught? We all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. We all must be prayful because the enemy has been attacking leaders very very heavy recently. This is his job. Our job is to continue to believe what we have been reading and studying in God's holy word since we became Christians. Let's put the WORD to work for once in our lives. Most of all read your Word and rely on God who is the Author and Finisher of our faith. Many people love Juanita & Bishop Weeks and now is the time to show it. GOD WILL TRULY GET THE GLORY OUT OF THIS SITUATION. WHAT THE devil MEANT FOR EVIL GOD WILL TURN IT AROUND FOR GOOD. Pray saints as never before. You see what is happening in this world. Many natural disasters, sickness and disease, mother and father against children, children against parents, gangs taking over the streets, men and women being killed in wars on foreign lands and in our inner cities. How many young people have been killed in your community? In a nearby community? Did we miss it? Look at this situation! Think about it! What do you think is happening? Put your WORD to work. It is not enough to know the Word of God because satan knew the Word but he could not live it. To Dr. Bynum & Bishop Weeks I will pray if no one else prays. I grow weary at the excuses. Men who beat women are weak, cowardly and dangerous. There is no need to blame this on some devil or demon. We all have the power to choose. It is by our choices that we will be judged.
Starting one's own Church, then naming one's self bishop or prophet of that church does not make one holy, special or even gifted. It puts one in a position where the temptation to manipulate, justify and con are all too real. These folk are no biblical scholars, how many of them have studied theology? How many have studied religion or anything else for that matter. Bynum is an high paid Profittess. And I have no love for any of the tv fake preachers, but more importantly she is a woman, and no woman deserves the violent attacked that her husband committed. But please stop making excuses for him and stop blaming her or the devil for his actions.

While I pray for Prophetess Bynum and Bishop Weeks, I also pray for all those who follow them and may stumble or who have already stumbled because of this situation. While we are not to look to man, most people are initially attracted to the Body of Christ by a man or woman of God. The devil knows if he can bring down the head many of the followers will also fall. Therefore, pray for all leaders of the Body of Christ without judging whether they are true or false men and woman of God because many of their followers are serious about their conversion and need to grow in the knowledge of God in order they may stand in His Word.

He should have never put his hands on her, he suppose to be a man of God love God. They were not attacked by the 'Devil'. She attacked by her husband. I guess that they are both prophets- whatever that means. But, let me give all of you people that want to pray for this woman a piece of advice. Set yourselves up into two groups. Half of the group can pray and the other half look for this man and immediately call the police, when they see him. And all of you, please teach your people that when they see signs of an abusive person
don't try to pray the abuse out of them - GET AWAY FROM THEM. Because, I find it hard to believe that this behavior is brand new from this man there had to be signs.

All of this nonsense about the Devil attacking Mr Weeks ( I won't call him Bishop) is foolishness. The man is out of control, does not have the love of Christ in him and needs to sit down and be taught how to "Love his wife as Christ loved the Church. He is a terrible example of a Christian. Yes we do give th devil to much credit.We must now allow our SIRIT man over ride our flesh man. None of us can ever claim to have done anything out of line from the time we were born, from the we got saved and shockingly we are still going to do stuff which we once though was inconceivable.... as long as we are in this body we will sin at least thats what the bible tells me.

If she's a prophetess, why didn't she get a vision of her impending butt whupping? You mean to tell me God showed her that we are supposed to give her our money but he didn't show her that she was getting ready to be hurt? So much for her prophesying.
