Bourne Ultimatum is going to be one hot movie, and Google already part of The Bourne Ultimatum Buzz (The Bourne Ultimatum will be released on August 3rd in the United States), according to Gary Bourgeault of Bizofshowbiz.com. I signed up tonight to play the Bourne Ultimatum Google Game.
"..For the interactive site called "The Ultimate Search for Bourne With Google," which will launch on Monday, it will provide Bourne fans the chance to use various Google products in the online game like YouTube, images, maps, search and translation, which will allow users to take on the persona of Jason Bourne. From there they will be given weekly tasks to accomplish."
"...Google will be given the opportunity to get people to try their products, which a lot of people, other than search, haven't used before. For that reason they're won't be paid for the deal, rather will use it to promote the products across Universals various platforms."
Interesting that Google is getting into cinema advertising and co branding.
I'm told, according to the WikiPedia entry on The Bourne Ultimatum film that there will be an advance showing in Oklahoma City on July 31st, 2007, 3 days earlier than the rest of us will get a chance to see the movie:
"..There will be a premier of The Bourne Ultimatum in downtown Oklahoma City on July 31, 2007, at at the Harkins Bricktown Theaters [1] to benefit The Children's Center, located in suburban Bethany. The film will be shown simultaneously on three screens. Film Superstar Matt Damon will be at the event to greet guests. "
Anyway, I was impressed with what I saw on Google tonight - signing up for The Bourne Ultimatum game is just like signing into Google - which is what your actually doing.
Another interesting thing I found on RottenTomatoes.com is information on how to create a Fan Site for The Bourne Ultimatum; but you have to register with RottenTomatoes.com first.
There's also several sites where you can view a Trailer for Bourne Ultimatum, including Apple.
I'll be tracking the BUZZ for this movie as it arrives in the movie theaters and..playing the Bourne Ultimatum game on Google.
