Emetrics Summit Wrap up

This was a long conference for me and I'm finally done - have a the rest of the day to spend in San Francisco before heading back to New York City.   As much as I would like to have blogged much more - I was not able to - there was too much going on - so much so that every time I had my laptop out, ready to blog - there would  be an interruption.

Well... Now I'm on the Board of Directors of the Web Analytics Association and today - I met with the rest of my fellow board members this morning including Jim Sterne, Avinash Kaushik, Robbin Steif, etc, along with Brian Induri, the Executive Director, Laura Paxia, Andrea Hadley.   The membership of the WAA is growing quickly and I'm glad I'm on the Board.

Ok, let's talk about Web Analytics - I spoke with Anil Batra, a great blogger who works at Zaaz - yesterday and talked a little bit about our blogs yesterday.  In fact, many of the people listed (minus me, we spoke after he posted) I met with over the last 3 days I have been attending.

I think I'm going to need to process the whole trip and go over many of the meeting notes and then post the synthesis of what I went though on this trip.

Maybe it will be easier to write about the trip once I'm back in New York and rested.

Marshall, It was a pleasure to meet with you at eMetrics. I wish we had hooked up little earlier, I am sure we will meet again and carry on our conversation.

For all those reading this comment, Marshall and I just met by chance. I was about to go to airport to catch my flight back to Seattle and was waiting for Avinash in the lunch room when I grabbed a seat on the table where Marshall was sitting. I had no idea how he looked and he had no idea how I looked like(As Eric noted in his post that I don't look anything like my lousy picture). Within few mins we found out each others names and starting talking. I am glad I sat at that table else I would have not met Marshall. Marshall is a great guy and full of energy.

I have posted a recap of eMetrics on my blog (and Marshall is on the list as well).
