Google Phone … hmm… I bet they're building one.  GigaOM's Katie Fehrenbacher noticed that a Google want ad: Wanted: Google Phone Manager?  Ha, Ha, Ha. 

Google's is looking more and more like Germany before WWII, going after one aquisition after another.  Or maybe the better analogy is Google is to the rest of the online media world as Alexander the Great was to the rest of Europe and Asia around 300 years BC.  Google is in this game to take it all….. that's right - Google is probably after getting into the iPhone act.

Why would Google need a hardware manager - the only thing they produce that's hardware related now is the Google Appliance and I doubt this "help wanted" ad is for that job.

Reminds me of my "Is Google God" painting I did a month ago or so.

Ok, maybe I'll like the Google Phone, once it comes out.  Most of the stuff Google does transforms the industries they get into - so it will be interesting what they do with the phone/mobile device.
