Being that I was just having a drink with Jason Calacanis the other night at the Magicians Pub in lower Manhattan, I did happen to notice he was going to Chicago SES and making waves there with some pronouncments according to Search Engine Journal ( Digg, Netscape, SEO & Pay Per Post Blogging) .

SEO is bullshit, if you generate a web page with good content Google will rank the page properly.

* Slimebuckets ruin each new industry and ruin it for everyone with spam, across the mediums of social news, seo & email.

Actually, the comment about SEO is not far off from the truth …… it's not really about SEO anymore - and that's what I'm tellling my clients - most businesses are now aware of SEO - and everyone is now an "expert".

Plus, the Search Engines have improved quite a bit (they had to - which all the stuff thrown at them by people constantly gaming, or trying to game the system).
