Is Blogging Peaking?

Posted by Marshall on December 11, 2006 | Link It

Steve Rubel thinks Blogging may be peaking. I'm not sure but neither is Steve.  He sites a lot of charts to support what he sees as a flatting out of posting activity (as if we can post much more …!).

It's the end of this post that I want to quote:

"…..The center of gravity will always shift as technology gives us new powers we didn't have before and new communities pop up. Regardless, brands will need to participate in this world in order to stay in the spotlight and remain trusted. The channels, however, may change with the times."

Did you hear that?   Brands need to participate in the blogging world to stay in the spotlight.  A lot of businesses still don't even have a blog.

Business blogging in the UK does not yet have any momentum, but hardly surprising when most companies are still developing static web sites
