Just read about Crayon, the new PR Agency that's opening up it's office in Second Life - in fact ... that's where the "real" office is.

"Joe Jaffe, author of Life After the 30-Second Spot has started a company called Crayon that will concentrate on social media marketing and will be headquartered within Second Life. My friends Shel Holtz and Neville Hobson are giving up their independent practices to join, as is CC Chapman. The launch party is at Crayon Island this Thursday.
This is beginning to look like the Matrix. I mean, you have an interface that works - Second Life, and now, it's being used as an interface into our life - or a connector.
Same thing with Howard Rheingold (who I write for on www.SmartMobs.com) -
"I recently spoke in Second Life about The Pedagogy of Civic Participation. Podcast available soon at the New Media Consortium site.

Just discovered Second Life the 3-D interactive virtual world. It's a lot of fun. I've never been much of a game person. What led me to take a second look was an article about non-profit organizations going in to establish a presence in the virtual world, and they run "camps" and education programs to reach teens in SL. The amount of customization of the virtual bodies (called "Avatar" there) and objects in there is incredible. You can even make really good animation movies in there if you have the skills. Crayon made a good choice!
