People are always wondering about Page Rank and if the numbers in the Google Toolbar actually correspond to the pagerank of the page in question. Matt Cutts answered some of these types of Google Page Rank questions yesterday in an illuminating post on his blog.
The actual pagerank of a page is different and has much more resolution than the 1-10 PR ranking in the Google Toolbar. Also, Google applies PR changes on the fly but only updates the tool bar a couple of times a year - rankings will change much more often based on the real pagerank while the Google Toolbar changes only once in a while.
