There are artists, according to David Pogue of the New York Times, who paint a pixel at a time:
"…….. the pixel art of a Taiwanese guy named Jason Huang. But some of the commenters pointed out that Eboy is even more talented, and even sells prints of his work. There were also fans of Supertotto and Pixeljoint.com.
But best of all, all of this discussion led me to this amazing music video, illustrated completely by pixel art and hypnotic in the extreme. I couldn’t take my eyes off of it."
I’m still trying to understand how this entire video, or some of the other art could be done, pixel by pixel and how long that would take. Since it’s all digital - I guess the superiour results (if one calls it that) come from greater attension to detail when your creating picture by each pixel.
By the way, when David Pogue wrote about Pixel Artists the other day - there was a spike in the Blogosphere - but it’s still not being posted about that much - yet the number of blog posts about Pixel Artists tripled.
