Does taking exisiting SEO Tools and presenting it a more easily digested form - sorta in Dashboard form, create a competitive advantage? It might; should it solve a common problem - there are so many SEO Tools out there that are free, it’s often difficult to navigate or even remember where they all are, even when bookmark them in your browser.
BizGrowth Search Engine Solutions created a "SEM Control Panal" which make it much easier to keep track, visually, of all the tools that are free that might help with SEO and SEM related activities. Most of the tools are familar to me, it’s the Dashboard Concept - more like Web 2.0 (but not really - if it were a Web 2.0 app, BizGrowth would use the tools by addressing commands to the API’s of each tool and then gather the answers, and you would not interact with any of the tools individually).
The SEM Control Panel, for example, is simply a visual organizing tool to make it easier for someone to find and select the tool they need. The strategy is two fold - gain an audience AND … gain customers by offering services beyond what any of these tools offer.

In essense, BizGrowth has not come up with any new tools, just the dashboard concept - which I find is very helpful, so I’m likely to use it as a way to pick programs I may run when I need to; I suggest everyone try it out. It’s a simple idea, but sometimes the simple ideas that are the most effective.
It’s also possible that BizGrowth collects some fees from the maker of each free tool as this generates traffic for the site - but I’m not sure of they do anything to collect money from the SEO tool creators.
Thought of another way, each SEO tool seeks to solve a basic question/problem and what we’re getting here is a chart of all the Solutions or Problem Solving tools that are free. It’s a good idea though I’d like to see BizGrowth add some tools of their own, in addition to the dashboard - which in itself adds value tools by making them easier to find, but does little else.
