Measuring Blog Popularity with Dapper - Blotter

John Battelle writes in his roundup today about measuring blog populrity with Dapper / Blotter which uses technorati data in generating a chart of your blog popularity.

In order for the Blotter application to work, however, you need to embed some code onto your blog - not a big deal - but on most of my blogs - I don’t control the templates so it’s much harder for me to test these out on my own blogs.

For example, the graph below gathers the statistics over time for Guy Kawasaki’s blog (who gets credit for coming up with this service)

It’s a nice chart, I’d not mind having something like this to look at on a daily basis - I think it’s good for metrics to see how your blogs are doing if you don’t obsess over it.
