How Google Finance generates traffic to your blog

If you write about a company and use the company name you may be enabling traffic to your blogs that would not get otherwise (esp if you use the stock symbol for the company).

We recently had a contest on Know More Media for this very thing, but I did not focus on it; however I have noted that I am receiving traffic on selected blog posts I have wrritten where a company name was mentioned.  For example, see below:

Looking at your web logs regularly will uncover treasures.  What happened?  I wrote about Google Radio Ads the other day mentioning DMarc, a company that’s listed in an exchange, and that information (my post) became a citation against DMarc .

My point being that you need to be the 100 eyed durga (if that’s the right term) and use every opportunity to interconnect your content with places it can show up.   I did not actually plan on creating this connection, it happend by itself - I will be more aware of it for now on.

By the way, my original post on Google Radio ads is here
