Looks like someone has been analyzing the posting patterns of Boing Boing

Appears that a categorizer is being used that creates maps, like the one above.

How well is the categorizer working ? Let’s look at the posts which most closely match some of the given 3rd level topics.

For Photography:

3. Digital Sensor Is Said to Match Quality of Film (2002/02/11)

I’m not sure what the value of this categorization is - I find the maps interesting, of themselves.  I’d like the abililty to breakdown any site using maps such as this - and if there’s a way to do that (or a product that does that - perhaps the categorization software used here) I’d like to know more about it.
