Another blog - another life - visitors to WebMetricsGuru.com might notice I paint as well as do web metrics (and SEO).  Well, I have another blog for the Art thing and it’s called Art NYC.

I find painting puts me in another state - a state of mind that’s helpful for Web Metrics - because I’ve maintained that what people are looking for in Web Metrics is ARt, is the Golden Mean - the answers.   

Here’s a painting I did today - and after that I need to get on with my SEO Analysis of a new client and a book review that I should have gotten done a couple of weeks ago.

It was pretty hot today - the hallway at the Brooklyn Artists Gym is long - and reminded me of a Van Gogh painting - decided it was cooler to paint the hall than roast in the studio.  After all, 4000 sq feet is nice - but not so nice when it’s 90+ degrees. 

I try to get these paintings or studies - or whatever they are - done and then I don’t look at them for a week (or the next time I come by the studio) - generally, I like what I’m doing (even if the medium - Acrylic - is not my favorite - it’s just easier to work with for the time being).
