Using Microsoft AdLabs

I was thinking of some of the other posts I’ve done to figure out search behavior such as Ashlee Simpson.  Using Microsoft AdLabs Search Funnel tool here’s a representation of the search queries originating on a search for Ashlee Simpson and those that occur as result (when Ashlee Simpson is the starting point of a query).

Searchers start by thinking of Ashlee in the same way they think of Brittney Spears or Hillary Duff or her sister Jessica Simpson.  On the other hand, when as search is started about Ashlee Simpson the results are pointing more towards Jessica Simpson, or Ashlee’s lyrics or picture, etc.  So people are really searching for Ashlee to get information about her or her sister.

Here’s a couple more links to other posts where I have used the AdLabs tools.
