One way to develop a niche site is take up something that you know nothing about - literally, and build a site while your trying to learn about that subject, according to Tony Hill.
Maybe I can make a niche site about Drywall - or something I know nothing about - and make money off the sites by taking really nice pictures of Drywalls and then use AdSense to make money off the site.
"If you want to take your site seriously I highly recommend taking 6 months to really soak up everything about this industry by completing all the steps above to establish yourself as an “outside expert” because nothing compares to actually being an inside expert from being involved in the industry professionally. But, if your the type that’s in a hurry to make some cash then maybe you could start a blog and blog your research findings as you go - then maybe turn it into a full site later.
Seem perfect to me .. just take any obscure subject, like spider webs, or rabbit vaccines - and just start blogging about it. Somehow, just not that motivated to do this.
